Unfortunately, you can’t. There is no fast-track procedure for the DBS. Once an application has been submitted to the Disclosure and Barring Service all you can do is wait.
If your check has been stuck in Stage 4 with the Police for 61 days or more then you can raise an escalation. You would need to contact the Disclosure and Barring Service on 0300 0200 190, selecting Option 2 and then 1.
The DBS will then start an investigation into why your check is taking so long. This generally resolves the issue. They may need more information or it could be an internal query.
In rare situations an Emergency Escalation can be raised. These are reserved for people facing severe difficulties as a result of an outstanding check. There is no guarantee that an escalation of this type can be raised.
